产品描述:
CUSABIO's product CSB-MP010053HUd9 is a recombinant human heat-stable enterotoxin receptor (GUCY2C) labeled with a human Fc tag at the C-terminus. It is generated through the expression of the gene fragment encoding amino acids 24-430 of the human GUCY2C in mammalian cells. The purity of this recombinant GUCY2C protein is greater than 94.8% determined by the SDS-PAGE. On the gel, there appeared a band with molecular weight ranging from 90 kDa to 116 kDa. The endotoxin of this protein is less than 1.0 EU/ug measured by the LAL method. Moreover, this recombinant protein has also been validated to be active. In the functional ELISA, this GUCY2C protein can bind to the anti-GUCY2C recombinant antibody. The EC50 is 3.049-4.660 ng/mL. This GUCY2C protein is available now.
GUCY2C is a transmembrane receptor exclusively expressed in the intestinal epithelium. High expression of GUCY2C has been found all along the rostral-caudal axis. Activated by three cognate ligands guanylin, uroguanylin, and ST, GUCY2C promotes the conversion of GTP to cGMP, which increases intracellular cGMP levels, leading to activation of downstream effectors, including PKGs, PDEs, and CNG channels, thus regulating electrolyte and fluid balance, promoting proliferation and differentiation along the intestinal crypt-villus axis, sustaining genomic integrity via DNA damage repair, and modulating cellular metabolism and the tight junctional barrier function of the intestinal epithelium. All these physiologic processes ultimately help to maintain intestinal homeostasis.
