产品描述:
The Recombinant Human CD44 Antigen (CD44) is produced in mammalian cells. The CD44 protein (21-220AA) in which a part extracellular domain was encoded by its DNA sequence and this protein carried a human Fc fragment at the C-terminus. CD44 is a surface glycoprotein that plays a part in cell-to-cell interactions, cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and many other cellular activities.
The Recombinant CD44 antigen finds uses in studies on different forms of cancer. This antigen’s role in cellular proliferation, invadopodia formation, cellular survival, and metastasis is of importance in studying different forms of cancer.
By acting on ligands such as hyaluronan, osteopontin, and collagen, CD44 activates various cancer-related pathways. Of such pathways are the NF-kB pathway, RhoGTPases pathway, and the PI3K/AKT pathway. The Recombinant Human CD44 has a molecular weight of 51 kDa and purity over 85% on SDS-PAGE. Its functionality is ELISA-validated and its identity is verified with LC-MS/MS Analysis. -

功能:Cell-surface receptor that plays a role in cell-cell interactions, cell adhesion and migration, helping them to sense and respond to changes in the tissue microenvironment. Participates thereby in a wide variety of cellular functions including the activation, recirculation and homing of T-lymphocytes, hematopoiesis, inflammation and response to bacterial infection. Engages, through its ectodomain, extracellular matrix components such as hyaluronan/HA, collagen, growth factors, cytokines or proteases and serves as a platform for signal transduction by assembling, via its cytoplasmic domain, protein complexes containing receptor kinases and membrane proteases. Such effectors include PKN2, the RhoGTPases RAC1 and RHOA, Rho-kinases and phospholipase C that coordinate signaling pathways promoting calcium mobilization and actin-mediated cytoskeleton reorganization essential for cell migration and adhesion.
